Anyone familiar with them? I have bought 2 adg 6/7/8 reels (retail $240), a adg titanium 7/8 rod (retail $900,), adg custom sized weighters (retail $329)
They are all very good quality wise. I like the reels as much as I like my hardy lrh.
What are people's opinion of them? While they are great products, the warranty's are very discouraging.
My $200 plus reel's warranty card says :

Does anyone know what the law is regarding wade fisherman on Alberta's trout streams? Is it like Montana, where the public can walk the banks of a stream (up to high water mark) through private property?
Or is it like Colorado, where such behaviour can result in a trespass ticket?
I'm planning a trip to the Ram and Raven Rivers, and I don't know how much private property is in the area.

How is the dry fly fishing on the upper sac? I get the impression most people nymph it. I am thinking of heading up the 2 hours to Redding to dry fly fish. Where should I go, Redding or dunsmuir or ??.
Also what flys should I bring? I usually use a 16 elk hair caddis and a
16 blue wing olive at Butte meadows. WIll these be sufficient?

Was out on the Lewis River in S. Washington, near Mt. St. Helen's this past weekend and landed a half-dozen 12-14" fat rainbows; missed or lost a half-dozen more. All taken with dries - thrilling to say the least.
This was the first time out in several years and I rediscovered the thrill, serenity and joy of being on the water. (

Drove the 40 minutes to the ackawanna River (which was the only river with fishable levels in the area) and arrived streamside at about 7:15PM. I was devastated when I had to cancel the Lapland Clave. I was about to pay for my tickets when Jo informed me that she would be on strike duty starting August 1. Summer is definiteloy here, and with it - smallmouth fishing. I`ve been eager to go after some bronzebacks for some time now, but with all the highwater this year`s season got off to a delayed and slow start. Attadale was the destination for our annual fishing trip this year. Find Kyle of Lochalsh on your map of Scotland, it`s where the bridge is to Skye, and follow the road and railway line towards Inverness, when you reach Loch Carron look for Attadale station, this was our starting point.

Here is a TR for the first day that I was able to join the GTC.
Met Wolfgang, Jeff, Joel and Cyli at the Tomorrow River last Sunday. Wolfgang had cuaght two trout whilst Jeff and Joel had been only gived chubs. Enuogh of that. We shortly regruoped at X Creek, 20 miles north of the Tomorrow. Wolf and Jeff strung up the rods and headed out across the abandoned bed of the mill pond, while Cyli
