Learn about different locations for fishing and how to practice your hobby combines with other people and interests.
In which areas can I fish?
Local knowledge is the best source of information here. Check out local newspapers or make a visit to the local tackle shop when you arrive at a new spot. Check out the Internet for recommendations of fishing resorts.
Family fishing, what do I need to know?
There are many places close to home suitable for trips with your family. A lot of them have bait-and-tackle shops, where you can get information, your license and last minute snacks. Make sure the site has a restroom nearby.
I want to fish with love for nature, how do I do that?
Touch a fish you caught only with wet hands. Try to prevent the hook from being swallowed. Remove the hook with extreme care. Don't put a wounded fish back in the water, but kill it immediately, just like any fish that is not put back.
Fish for sport and return the fish to the water after catching it and making sure it was not hurt. Adhere to the basic rules of returning a fish to the water: touch it at little as is necessary, try to keep it in the water when undoing the hook and then let it swim away, do not throw it into the water.
Keep the water in your fishing spot clean. Never damage the banks and the reed, nor the trees, plants or shrubs. Limit the use of bait. Only walk on the banks where you are allowed. Don't leave behind any rubbish such as bottles, cans, plastics, paper, and food rests... Take home with you the left over nylon lines; they are very dangerous for birds. |
